Our reports may be used for mortgage or insurance purposes, to determine what works may be required to a tree, to support planning applications or just to give you an idea of how your tree is. Whether you have a single tree or an entire woodland we offer unbiased, affordable surveys. To see examples of our surveys, please contact us.
- tree conservation
Tree conservation, as the name implies, is the overall care and management of trees to ensure their continued safe and useful survival. It does not always mean that a tree must be left exactly as it is regardless of its state or that the environment the tree is in must be made totally tree friendly. Tree conservation is about striking that balance between the tree, its environment and wider social implications so that all may continue in harmony with one another. Conservation areas have been set up in many locations throughout the country, we are able to advise on the processes involved in carrying out tree work in conservation areas and make the necessary applications for works if required.
- tree preservation
Trees are preserved for their rarity, amenity value (how they look in their environment) or because they are of historical value. We can supply reports that either support the trees preservation or otherwise. We can advise on the process of getting a tree preserved, how to get a preserved tree removed, how to maintain a preserved tree and the processes involved or we can handle it all for you.
- tree management
We offer management plans that cover tree maintenance for up to 20 years. These plans cover all aspects of arboriculture from the planning and pre-planting stages through to felling schemes. They do not only take into account the tree or trees that are being looked at but the entire environment that the tree(s) are in including grant applications, preservation schemes and schemes for public access.
- woodland surveys
Our woodland surveys cover a range of topics including felling, safety, conservation, grants, management, monitoring, development, planting and general maintenance.

There is no obligation to take up our full service, we can do as little or as much as you require.
- development and planning
We can advise on all matters related to trees and planning or development. We offer pre- and post-build surveys, tree replacement plans, tree preservation reports, tree conservation reports, and guide you through the planning process in relation to trees. We also supply reports where preserved trees are required to be felled.
- insurance matters
Insurance companies are increasingly becoming concerned about the proximity of trees to the buildings they are insuring. We can supply reports that assess the impact of the tree, or trees, in question on any built structure in the vicinity. These reports conform to BS5837 Trees in relation to Construction.
